The castle is set on a c. 365 acre Estate on the shores of Lough Corrib and River Cong. It dates back as far as 1228 when it was built as a family residence for the de Burgo Family.

George V Restaurant
Named to commemorate the historic visit of King George V in
1906, this fine dining restaurant has a capacity for 160 guests. With rich oak panelled walls and magnificent Waterford Crystal chandeliers, guests can relax and listen to the resident pianist.

 

The Drawing Room

Beautifully decorated in baronial style and boasting spectacular views of Lough Corrib, the drawing room offers guests an inviting room to enjoy beautiful views while indulging in afternoon tea.


Prince of Wales Bar
The atmospheric bar is ideal for pre and post dinner drinks.


The Connaught Room
The Connaught Room offers private dining or meeting facilities for up to 40 guests in an impressive style.


Ardilaun Suite
The Ardilaun suite offers meeting and private dining for up to 75 guests. 


Cullen’s at the Cottage
Cullen’s is a casual dining option, offering a bistro style menu in the setting of a traditional thatched cottage. It is a short stroll from the castle, across the River Cong. The restaurant has capacity for 50 patrons.

The spa incorporates a sauna, steamroom, Jacuzzi, gymnasium and 3 treatment rooms.


Golf Course

This beautiful 9 hole parkland course provides the perfect environment for golfers of all ages to hone their skills. The course was designed by renowned Irish golf architect, Eddie Hackett. Visitors to the estate also benefit from the proximity to some of the best links courses in the world.
