Jubilee Park LC1 and LC2

Proposed Residential Development

Walters Land (Rogerstone) Ltd is a subsidiary of the Walters Group. The Walters Group is a family run South Wales based company which specialises in civil engineering, plant hire and sales, and development.

Walters Land (Rogerstone) Ltd, secured outline planning permission for the redevelopment of the former Novelis/Alcan factory site to deliver Jubilee Park. As well as a primary school and housing, the outline planning permission allows for a new local centre.

Despite Savills having marketed the envisaged local centre element of Jubilee Park since 2016, there was no interest in the site from potential retailers and the health board has confirmed that they do not wish to operate a clinic, surgery or pharmacy within Jubilee Park.

In light of the lack of interest in the delivery of the local centre within Jubilee Park, Walters secured planning permission for the Co-Op development on the more prominent former Criddle Garage site on the northern side of Tregwilym Road.

Walters Land (Rogerstone) Ltd is now proposing upto 50 home alongside public open space, landscaping, sustainable drainage, and both green and blue infrastructure on the site envisaged to accommodate the local centre element (known as Parcels LC1 and LC2). Accordingly, the description of development is:

“Outline application (with all matters reserved save for access) for residential development”
